Finding the Apprentice Oasis
While originally developed in 2022, in 2024 I was tasked to help update part of the experience that was getting less traffic. Teamed with a copywriter, we conceived of Apprentice Oasis. Inspired by the sunrise dunes of Aladdin, Indiana Jones, and even Lawrence of Arabia, we wanted Apprentice Oasis to feel like a place to stop and relax on a long journey. It featured four digital hotspots that allowed users to gather the information they’d need before embarking on the next stage of their career journey.
Handing the Mic
EY was also eager to platform more diverse early careers voices, recognising that individuals from certain backgrounds felt discouraged from applying for these types of roles. We combatted this by platforming a host of Apprentices from many different backgrounds, providing toolkits for them to make their own content.
We also included a ‘Hall of Fame’ section on the site that showed the trailblazing EY Apprentices that had come before them, to show that these opportunities are open to all.
